CHURCH PROGRAMME

The Church programme consists of Prayer Meetings, Bible Studies, Men's and Ladies fellowship and the Junior Church. The Church over the years has trained and enquiped young Men and women through Bible Studies empowering in the Word Of God to become disciplined Leaders. The focus of the Church Is the Junior Church were currently there is one hundred kids being schooled and groomed for the future. Our vision is to Work with the children from the beginning and keep them Rooted in the Lord.

FORMED IN 1993

The Church was formed in 1993 in the area of Canelands Verulam in Kwa-Zulu Natal South Africa. It was called Canelands Worship Centre and had worked with the community of Canelands which was nick named "Thunder Town", due to the town being infiltrated with gangsterism and drugs. Through these changing times the Church survived in that area for twelve years bringing many to the Salvation of the Lord Jesus Christ.

STATEMENT OF FAITH

In summary, we believe:

1. That there is only one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit, who is Maker and Preserver of all things visible (Matt. 28:19, Acts 14:15).

2. In the deity of the Lord Jesus Christ; that Jesus existed eternally with the Father, became man by the miracle of the incarnation, in no degree ceasing to be God. He is co - Creator of the world and man, the only Saviour and coming Judge (Matt. 1:13, Heb. 1:2-8).

GETHSEMANE

The name Gethsemane will always remind the Church of its purpose of coming together and that is to "Watch And Pray" and tarry in the presence of the Lord. The Lord then continued to open up the mission fields for missionaries to go from Gethsemane House Of Prayer and to receive missionaries from abroad.

In the year 2010 after Pastor Robin returned from missions in India, "Gethsemane World Missions" was formed. Gethsemane House Of Prayer, Gethsemane World Missions is a non-profit organisation catering for the local people in and around Durban Kwa-Zulu Natal and is also linked with many organisations throughout the World.
